About the Louisiana Bridge Association

The Louisiana Bridge Association (LBA) is the largest and oldest bridge club in the greater New Orleans area, with a rich history dating back to 1941. As part of ACBL Unit 134, District 10, we belong to a community of over 15,000 members, from new players with a few masterpoints to Grand Life Masters with over 30,000.

Our modern bridge center is conveniently located in Metairie, LA just eight miles from downtown New Orleans via Interstate 10. The facility, formerly a restaurant, was purchased in 1991 and has been twice renovated, including a complete restoration after Hurricane Katrina. It features a spacious and attractive playing area, kitchen facilities for club functions, and a large on-site parking lot with handicapped-accessible spaces.

Interested in joining us for a game? We offer scheduled games five days a week, Monday through Friday, with many games tailored for new and less experienced players. Our open games are stratified to ensure that players at all levels have opportunities to earn masterpoints.  Click here to view our Game Schedule and Online Schedule.

Lessons? The LBA is passionate about introducing new people to the game of bridge. We offer Beginner Bridge Lessons that require no prior experience. For those who have played before or are looking to sharpen their skills, our experienced Bridge Instructors – all of whom are LBA members – provide private and group Bridge Classes for a fee, catering to all skill levels.
